Buying from abroad.
If the site detects an address outside the EU, the price you see already excludes Italian VAT. On arrival you pay your own country's import charges, which the courier collects before delivery.
United Kingdom: 20% import VAT plus the courier's clearance fee, and customs duty on models that don't qualify for EU preferential origin — budget around £1,000 on a £5,000 bike.
Switzerland: 8.1% import VAT, no customs duty.
